Let us know what your 'educational barriers' are (time, support, 'stuff' or funds...)

Funds have a monthly limit. Completed Applications are considered on a case-by-case basis, as assessed/scored by the Barrier Reduction Committee and Chaplain.

  1. Housing assistance is available to students enrolled at an on-ground installation only.
  2. Current student status
  3. If ‘off campus’, “per household” rules apply.

Resources for International Students

Food or clothing request forms are listed below:

The Adawe, Student Affairs and Ministries team members have Barrier Reduction Forms available and local connections to assist. If you can't locate a resource and are food insecure, online help is available.

Someone will contact you to go over details and pickup or delivery times, once your form is approved. The order should be finalized in 2 working days. If you would like faster service and direct information on current selection, please contact us at 785-248-2397.

Ashan Jordan is your foodbank contact. The Chaplain's Pantry (Atkinson Hall, Basement) is delivery only for supplemental (Eckan or Farmer's Market) in the fall (until after Dec 12). If you have a special request or are part of our off-campus delivery network sign into Google Docs, and update or fill out a new order request form.

Please feel free to stop by Atkinson Hall's Basement during posted office hours or contact Nicolo Cinelli.

The Chaplain's office also supervises the OU Theatre costume shop (volunteers are always needed). We costume three annual productions for the Ottawa, Ks campus and assist local high schools, churches and community organizations with their costuming needs.

We take some individual requests for costumes and/or fittings; depending upon stock and staff availability. All costume shop requests can go through either Nicolo or Chaplain. You can also leave a message with Campus Ministries at 785-248- 2397.

Have some extra time? Volunteer with us! We always need volunteers to help in the following areas:

Food Bank Volunteer

Solve world hunger! Slow and steady wins the race, as they say. Come volunteer with TAU as we work together to provide food for those without. Help sort and restock the pantry, assisting in organization and distribution to help end hunger one small step at a time.

Clothing Bank Volunteer

In California, it doesn’t get this cold; many students come to Ottawa unprepared for Kansas’s frozen tundra. Bring some warmth back to winter and volunteer at TAU’s clothing bank. Here you can help sort clothing, take inventory, and spread the word about the resources we offer. I mean, who doesn’t like free clothes?
